Dear Younger Me,: A Journal Entry
Dear Younger Me,
You have been Alive for over a quarter of a century.
Which I know sounds impossible but it’s true.
Despite the challenges and trials, we have overcame many things.
We overcame suicide, addiction, self harm, bullying, loss of family and friends, loss of an internship with Discovery Channel, and loss of a romantic relationship that was toxic for both of us.
However; we did gain Love, a relationship with an Unconditionally Loving God, Friends who checked in on us during seizures and a mental health crisis and opportunities to mentor people and tell them about Jesus.
We even helped kids get shoes, school supplies, backpacks and haircuts for the upcoming school year.
While we currently don’t have a special gal just yet, God will help us when the time is right and I promise you it will be worth the wait.
I love the perfectly imperfect you and I always will.
Sincerely, Me.
